This week, the Jewish Chronicle editorial said Jews would be welcoming a Tory win. Not on their life we won’t!
On 20th June, there will be a mass demonstration against the government’s plans for austerity.
We are organising a Jewish bloc among the thousands of attendees. All Jews who care about stopping these senseless cuts to the Disabled, community services, education and jobs should be there.
We remember: “Justice, justice, shall you pursue!” (Deut. 16)
Meet at 12 at Shoreditch High Street – Box Park exit. Formerly the site of London’s largest and oldest ashkenazi Synagogue, it’s now the site of its hipster decay.
For those who would like to join us for a service beforehand, we’ll be at East London Central Synagogue from 10am-11.30 am
We’ll also be holding our own anti-austerity Shabbat service the following Friday evening.
All events are open to Jews of any kind, friends, allies, fellow travelers and anyone who just wants someone to march with.
